Hi there. I am an artist, baker and collector of interesting junk and
sparkly stuff that I take home, mess around with and turn into other
stuff. I have a (minor) paper obsession and I like to combine that with
paint and glue and polymer clay and other fun, messy things. I like to
make tiny things just because they please me. I also make jewelry and
draw and those things may appear here from time to time. I’ve got a
degree in art history, I love the dark ages, the renaissance, the
Pre-Raphaelites and lots of individual artists, both contemporary and
long gone. I also have a (minor) obsession with books and typeface. I live in a big, friendly old house with my husband, two furry monsters, about a bazillion books, art supplies and tools. I
could go on, but I’m boring myself rigid.
I too live among the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. After spotting you on the Alpha Stamps blog, I decided to visit your blog. You are very talented--good luck with the Graphic 45 team audition. Rita
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Rita!
ReplyDeleteWhereabouts do you live in the Blue Ridge? I'm in Virginia about 12 miles from the N.C. border.
Like your blog....love your work. I'm a Virginian as well. I live out in the central part of the state near Petersburg. I just recently started crafting again and found the blog thru the Alpha Stamp site.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much for visiting the blog and taking the time to comment, it's much appreciated. Go Virginia!
ReplyDeleteI seem to be coming across your name a lot lately - weird, huh? Even weirder - I love paint, glue, messy things, tiny things. I may have a slight paper obsession (undiagnosed). Make jewelry - check. Art history degree - check. Pre-Raphaelites - check. Maybe we were separated at birth!
ReplyDeleteI love your work and I'll definitely be coming back more often!
PS - Mom says Hi.
